Little bit of story behind this one:

This is a Persian Nain rug, renowned for its fine and precise designs, crafted in a Persian city known for its high-quality workshops. Nain rugs feature a cotton foundation, and a soft pile made of either wool or a wool-silk blend. The workmanship is exceptional, with a high knot density often exceeding one million knots per square metre.

Common patterns include a central medallion surrounded by intricate arabesques and floral motifs.

Nain rugs utilize three types of knots: 4La, 6La, and 9La. The term "La" translates to "Layer," indicating the number of thread layers in each warp. This classification helps determine the rug's quality -- lower numbers signify finer, denser knots, resulting in a more exquisite carpet.
