Tabriz rugs originate from the city of Tabriz, known for its rich history in carpet weaving. As one of the oldest weaving centres, Tabriz produces a diverse array of hand-knotted rugs, showcasing various styles and patterns. Crafted from high-quality, fine, and soft wool, these rugs are celebrated for their durability and luxurious feel. The intricate designs often incorporate bold colours and elaborate motifs, making Tabriz rugs a stunning addition to any space. The term 'Raj' refers to the number of knots in a 70mm span. The higher the 'Raj', the more knots per m2, which is a higher quality of rug. They take longer to weave and more skill to get the design as intricate as they are.
